How to make shredded chicken
There are a few ways you can go about making shredded chicken. I’ve listed them below, and no matter which method you choose, they will all work for this recipe!

Cooked chicken – Season your chicken breast with salt and pepper. Fully cook the chicken breast however you prefer (crockpot, instant pot, oven, barbecue etc.). The best way to shred chicken is using a hand mixer. Add to a large bowl, and mix on medium-high until all the chicken is fully shredded.
Rotisserie chicken – These always make weeknight dinners so much easier. All you have to do is remove the chicken from the bones, add it to a large bowl, and beat using a hand mixer until fully shredded.
Canned chicken – personally, this is not my favourite option however, it works for this recipe and may be more cost effective. Make sure to drain the water prior to adding it to the dip!
