Here’s a bit about me:
I grew up playing competitive sports, but I never truly understood how to fuel my body. As I got older, I felt horrible in my own skin and often felt like I had zero control over what I was eating. *Cue the guilt, confusion, and confidence nosedive*
My interest in nutrition grew over the years but I hit a tipping point when I started dealing with disordered eating. It was a battle that left me feeling exhausted and pretty low but eventually I realized I was tired of being ruled by diet culture and being fixated on everything I ate. That’s when I embarked on a journey of self-discovery, prioritizing nourishment, balance, and genuine joy in every aspect of my life.
As I pursued a career in nutrition, I was able to apply what I was learning to my own life. This process completely transformed my relationship with food and reshaped how I view health and well-being.
These experiences have shaped me into who I am today, someone who’s passionate about nutrition and helping others navigate similar challenges. I fully understand the frustration, confusion, and guilt that can come with trying to navigate healthy eating. My approach to nutrition and health is realistic, compassionate, evidence-based, and rooted in helping people feel empowered. Alongside my passion for healthy living, I also specialize in paediatric nutrition and love supporting infants, children, and families through all stages of growth. I’ve had the privilege of working at The Hospital for Sick Children, the number one paediatric hospital in the world, where I gained extensive experience supporting children with complex medical, feeding, and growth concerns.
From introducing solids and navigating picky eating to managing suboptimal growth, food intolerances, and advanced clinical conditions, I’ve seen firsthand how challenging feeding can be for families, and how transformative the right guidance can be. My work focuses on helping parents feel confident in nourishing their little ones, from feeding their newborn, to introducing solids and navigating picky eating, and also managing suboptimal growth, food intolerances, and more complex feeding challenges. My approach blends evidence-based guidance with practical, realistic strategies so families can create positive mealtime experiences, build balanced eating habits, and support healthy development right from the start.
