Ingredients for chocolate raspberry overnight oats

ingredients for chocolate raspberry overnight oats
  • Rolled oats – The oats add a filling factor because they’re packed with fibre! The consistency of your overnight oats comes out best with rolled oats. Avoid using steel-cut or quick oats, as they don’t work in this recipe.
  • Chia seeds – These tiny seeds add fibre and thicken up the texture.
  • Nuts of choice – Add some crunch and extra nutrition with almonds or walnuts, which provide fiber and healthy fats.
  • Unsweetened Cocoa powder – Adds a rich chocolate flavour without the extra sugar.
  • Maple syrup – a natural sweetener that makes this taste delicious.
  • Vanilla extract – enhances all the flavour and sweetens without the sugar!
  • Raspberries – fresh or frozen, either works!
  • Milk – I use 2% cow’s milk to make my oats creamy and more filling but you can use whichever milk you prefer, or even water!

How to make raspberry chocolate overnight oats

Combine your ingredients. Add all of your ingredients to a 16 ounce mason jar or container. Mix everything together with a spoon until well-combined. If you’re using fresh raspberries, I recommend waiting to add them in the next morning to preserve their freshness.

Refrigerate overnight. Cover the jar with a lid and refrigerate overnight to allow the oats to soften and flavours to mingle.

Add your desired toppings. In the morning, add your favorite toppings. I love adding vanilla yogurt, cacao nibs, dark chocolate chunks, or extra raspberries.
